Commissioning of New PU Casting Machine

On January 23, 2020, at the NPC VTD production base pre-commissioning works were over and report on commissioning of the new polyurethane casting machine was signed.

Baulé® Omega machine produced by Covestro Elastomers SAS (Romans-sur-Isere, France) was installed. This equipment is one of the most advanced and was developed according to NPC VTD technical specifications. The new casting machine Baulé® Omega has a number of advantages compared to the previously used installation:

·         use of up-to-date MDI and MDQ polyurethane systems;

·         production capacity is increased twice;

·         30% heavier products can be casted – up to 120 kg;

·         making products with up to 5% concentration of modifying additives, including antistatic;

·         five lines of pigments make it possible to widen the products color range;

·         automated casting control system with remote monitoring of equipment operation in real time.

Commissioning of this equipment will enable NPC VTD to completely satisfy own needs in high-quality wear-resistant polyurethane products as well as take orders from third-party customers.
