New set of tools

On October 7th, 2016 a new set for in-line inspection of 219 mm in outer diameter (8 inches) was released by “NPC “VTD”.

The combination of in-line inspection complex includes all required tools for reliable and authentic inspection:

• EGP – 219 (Electronic Geometry Pig and Introscope)
• MFL – 219 (Magnetic Flux Leakage)
• TFI – 219 (Transverse Field Inspection)

Development of the equipment took a long time. Compact size of the new complex did not afford to transmit scientific-and-technological solutions, utilized for in-line inspection tools of bigger diameter. In the result of collective work new solutions were developed, allowing the complex of small diameter to evaluate technical condition of the pipelines at high level on par with tools of bigger diameter.
